Come and experience the longest race at The Bay. The 55km course takes you on a journey around some of Nelson's most scenic locations. You will get to experience coastal walkways, farmland, forest tracks, and the private Pepin Island along the way.
The Bay Ultramarathon course has plenty of grunt factor! With around 2700m of elevation gain across the 55km, this course is pretty epic. But with great challenge comes the greatest rewards.

The 34km Trail Run is the perfect distance for those wanting a bit more than a traditional half marathon distance. The course takes you on a journey through forests, along coastal walkways, and across farmland. The 34km event also allows you access to privately owned Pepin Island. For this day only you are able to encircle the Island, giving you incredible uninterrupted views of Tasman Bay.
Expect a run with plenty of ups and downs, where you will be wanting to stop for photos along the way, and where the medal hung around your neck at the finish will feel well deserved!
If you enjoy plenty of variety while you are out on the trails then The Bay 34km course is perfect for you!
The 24km Trail Run is a great step up from the half marathon distance and allows competitors to challenge themselves over ever-changing terrain in a stunning location. Starting and finishing at the Cable Bay Adventure Park, the run takes you on a journey up into the hills surrounding Cable Bay. With views across Tasman Bay and access to private land, each kilometre offers challenge and variety - a great way to spend a morning!
This location is known for its scenery and the 24km course does not disappoint. Forest trails, coastal walkways, private farmland... this course has it all!

The 10km event takes competitors on a journey through the Cable Bay Adventure Park. With stunning bush-life and amazing trails, this course is packed with scenery. It is also the only option at The Bay where you can choose to run or walk.
The course is going to give competitors a good challenge with plenty of elevation over the 10km. The trails are ever-changing with plenty of twists and turns, as well as some technical terrain to navigate.
Add in the stunning scenery and this course is one not to be missed.
