Introducing Taye Pugh. We love having Taye promoting our events as he's local to Canterbury, super passionate about all things related to running, and is a genuinely great guy. He's always up for a chat at events or online about the trails, tailwind, and training. And he's full of great tips too having had so much experience at events all over NZ.
Taye has been running since his mid 30's and loves the simplistic nature of it - just head out by yourself (or with friends) on a mountain trail and that's all you need. He says 'the more you run and challenge yourself the more confidence it gives you to explore new trails'.

With multiple achievements under her belt, Tanya is now coaching other athletes from around the world. She also assists women to empower themselves both on and off the trails.
Tanya loves the mountains and enjoys nothing more than heading onto the trails in her beautiful backyard of Central Otago. Scenic Sports Events is looking forward to having Tanya share her wisdom and insight with more of the trail running community.

Introducing Ben Williams. Ben is based on the West Coast of the South Island and has been running since he was 14 years of age.
Ben won the 2018 Half Marathon at the Mt Oxford Odyssey in a super fast time. He wasn't able to stay for the Prize Giving as he was off to his school formal back on the coast. That was the first time we met Ben and it was then we knew he was one to watch on the trail running scene.
With wins and podium finishes all around New Zealand, Ben is proving his dedication to the sport, as well as his natural talent, is shining through.
Ben loves the outdoors and spends his spare time out enjoying the trails around his home on the coast.
Nic is a North Cantabrian - born and bred, actually growing up with Mt Oxford as the backdrop to her childhood! After discovering her love for running around 8 yrs ago, Nic quickly found her 'place' being out on the trails and high in the hills.
Even though loving the many solo missions she embarks on, Nic feels blessed to have a bunch of friends who she gets to share her passion with.
She's a self-confessed weekend warrior and never takes it too seriously - its all about the fun, hanging out with friends, meeting new people but also the connection to nature and being at one with our great outdoors.
The power of a run immersed in nature, with a bunch of mates is amazing - its as good as a therapy session!
