MT OXFORD ODYSSEY

The Further Faster 50km Mountain Ultra is a true adventure in the backcountry. The Ultramarathon has two mountains to climb as well as some great runnable single tracks. The Oxford Conservation Area is a true mountain environment, making this ultra a great challenge for those who are up for whatever the mountains bring.  This course has been designed to give competitors a challenge, but also with the aim of everyone finishing within the 12 hours available. 

The Raidlight 33km Mountain Challenge allows you to step up from the traditional half marathon distance and test yourself without committing to a full marathon. The course takes you up Mt Oxford and then on a trip down to the Wharfedale Track. This race is ever-changing with terrain and scenery, and with around 2000m of elevation gain over the distance, it's a good challenge! 

The Freshchoice Oxford Half Marathon course has gained a reputation as being hard but achievable.
2023 is the seventh year the event has been held, each year seeing different conditions on the summit, offering lots of variety for repeat competitors.  With 360 degree views along the summit, the climb is well and truly worth it!
The half marathon event has the option of entering the race as a Run or Tramp.  

The 15km Trail event allows you to experience one of Canterbury's most beautiful trails. The trail is at the base of the mountain so is perfect for those of you not wanting to head up and over Mt Oxford but still want to explore this special part of the country. 

The 15km event can be entered as a Run or a Tramp, allowing the opportunity to enjoy the event at your own pace.  This is the perfect introduction to trail running - or for a fast time for those of you wanting to test yourselves.
